When I hear this song, I imagine Ann Coulter wearing a short white, see thru skirt, walking on the beach. Wind blowing in her golden, blonde hair…A sweet sun shower…
God bless you chris. You just touched my heart bro! From one angry truth-seeker to another, keep shinin’ man, you are a search-light! I love sunshowers!!!
This was the song my wife and I did our first dance to and my son’s middle name is Christopher after Chris Cornell. In short, I love this song and Chris Cornell is the man.
This is a brilliant live performance for a very difficult song. Of course he strains to hit the high notes, that’s what makes them mean something. The fact that they write songs that aren’t “easy” or “comfortable” is a amazing all in itself. Chris Cornell is one of the all time greatest male vocalists and already a true legend.
It’s for people who have only listened to CD’s and radio play and have probably never been in a closed venue when the singer had a little too much whiskey or the voice is wasted by too many cigs:P One of the few cats I’ve seen that can pull out an almost similar studio voice even pass time is David Gilmour.
Come on man. Fucking up the lyrics and not hitting the notes is part of what makes this performance great. I can’t believe some people don’t see that. Just remember the Nirvana performance in unplugged.
